I have literally just got back home from the Royal Oak and felt compelled to submit my review!
The Royal Oak is amazing from it's decor all the way through to dessert! I went with my partner, his cousin and our son. The staff were friendly, genuine and warm people. They all spoke to my son who is 2 and made him a part of the dining experience.
We waited quite a while for our mains which were pork belly and seabass BUT....when it came, we understood the wait. Everything is cooked fresh and from scratch!! The ingredients were of a great quality. Food tasted incredible!
I had to make room for dessert ans we shared a sticky toffee pudding and a Disarano creme brule. Dessert was just as amaxing as the main....sometimes you anticipate shop bought desserts....definitely not at the Royal Oak!
Their attention to detail is definitely noticeable! A cup if coffee came with a cute mini glass milk bottle filled with fresh milk instead of the cliché mini jug. The extra gravy came in a mini tin bucket...really nice touches
I would recommend this place to all - especially families. The dining room is separated from the main pub and there is also a terrace/beer garden with a children's play area.
Royal Oak...see you on Sunday for my roast!!
